What to do when you arrive?

Please arrive no earlier than ten minutes before your class start time. When you arrive give your dog the opportunity to go to the toilet outside, then put them back into the car. We begin class without our dogs to allow us to discuss the sessions exercises without distractions and set up our working areas.

Our training method

We use a fun, games-based training method. We do not use any punishment as part of our training, and do not allow this at our classes. This includes using tools such as choke or prong collars. If you have any questions or need any support around this please get in touch.

You will need to bring

  • Treats A variety of high and low value is best, such as some dry food or packet treats and then some hot dog, chicken or cheese
  • You dogs favourite toy
  • Flat collar and lead
  • A harness if your dog has one
  • Poo bags
  • A ready to learn, excited mindset

What to expect

Our classes are a open, non judgemental space filled with fun and learning. We begin each class with a short talk and discussion on what we will be working on that week. We then get our dogs from the cars and work in short sessions on the exercises with breaks for our dogs. Sometimes we work in pairs and alternate the dogs turns when the exercise needs a second pair of hands, and sometimes we one have one dog out to work on off lead exercises. This sets all dogs and owners up for success.

Please do not allow your dog to greet and play with other dogs in the class unless this is part of one of our training exercises. We want the dogs to see this space as one of focus and training, not play-time with other dogs but with us instead! Also we accommodate nervous and reactive dogs that would not welcome this kind of interaction.
